Close game away to Hurst Colts
Sleepy start and lots of injuries made for an interesting game
At one point I thought we would end up with more injured players that walking ones!
All the plans thrown out of the window and a scramble to replace 3 players in rapid succession made us think a lot.
However, despite the changes and after we had woken up we played nice flowing football with passing that we know we can do but rarely see.
We worked as a team and almost forgot to shoot! It was a well matched game but ultimately our passing game won the day.
It was at times like watching Barcelona (if you closed one eye and squinted a bit!)
Joe was awesome at the back in the first game and deserved Man of the Match. Our goals came in no small part form his discipline at the back. Never Give Up was well deserved by Charlie who battled through every tackle and kept chasing down the ball.
The second game was a mirror to the first with nice passing moves and unselfish play. It was nice to see the ball go backwards when needed.
Man of the Match was decided in the first half and Jake did not let us down playing excellently to the end. Having spent some of the first game in goal Stanley came out on to pitch and, like Charlie in the first game battled through every tackle even though he was quite tired by the end. He thoroughly deserved Never Give Up
Good performance from the boys this week lets look to keep it up and improve for our first home game next week.
