With the big end of season competition Euro 2024 yet to even kick off it might seem odd to be talking about the forthcoming season but the opening fixture for the First Team on Saturday 27 July will soon be upon us. With our season long ground share with Horley Town there was not the usual question of where to play our early home games during July and August while the cricket club uses Godstone Road. With our return to The Lair we have had to find a temporary home ground once again and this time, with the drainage works delayed by various problems, once we have possession of the ground the works will commence so we will be away from Godstone Road for an additional couple of months.

We are grateful to Oakwood FC for agreeing to let us share their ground at Tinsley Lane, Crawley for as long as necessary for both the First Team and for the U23s when their season gets underway in August. Our clubs spent three seasons together in the SCFL Division One until our promotion to the Premier Division in 2018. Last season the U23 teams were in the northern section of the SCFL competition so some of you might be familiar with the ground. Once on Tinsley Lane the ground is down a narrow lane on the left that is signposted and runs behind the houses. Persevere as it is quite a long way to the ground at the far end.
