The club was sad to learn of the death our President Pam Tomsett who was a legendary figure in our club's post war history. Pam was a member of the Tomsett Family whose connection with Lingfield FC goes back to the beginning of last century when our Edenbridge League championship winning side of 1905-06 contained a Mr A Tomsett. In the post war years our team included David Tomsett and Pam's husband Maurice Tomsett, and in the 1990s their son Ian was a Linger. While Maurice became club Chairman in 1986, Pam was a part of running not just our club but also the Lingfield Sports Association that oversees the Godstone Road ground for both football and cricket clubs.
