After warming up for the season with three friendlies, our U18 team under the guidance of Matthew Hodge play their first league fixture of the season. They play in the Combined Counties Tony Ford U18 Division East and start out with a visit to Chessington & Hook tonight. It has been a couple of seasons since we played them in a league. This was at U23 level and included playing us at Godstone Road although this season our Young Lingers will play at AFC Whyteleafe. The league has issued all the fixtures for the season and for this month and next the lads will be on the road, and not necessarily heading to where you might think.

The fixture next week is against Corinthian Casuals but not at their ground adjacent to the A3 but at the home of Banstead Athletic in Tadworth. The trip to play Balham will be one to Tooting & Mitcham's ground in Morden. Matches against Horley Town and Carshalton Athletic will actually be at Horley and Carshalton but the game against Sutton Common Rovers will be a return to Banstead Athletic. The final away game is versus Kingstonian at the Wibbandune Sports Ground on the A3 adjacent to Wimbledon Common.

The U23s will continue without Liam Joyce with Luca Barra and Francis de Almeida guiding them as they go to our friends at Oakwood tonight before heading across to Alfold for a cup game next week. The following week is a trip in the same direction to play Horsham Crusaders at Loxwood's ground before hosting Loxwood in the month's final game.
