Mohamed Eisa slotted away to put the visitors one up. This was quickly followed by another swift attack that ended with Eisa heading home his and Greenwich’s second.
Despite conceding two in such a short space of time we didn’t seem deterred, with Kendrick Adam’s slamming home a rebound to pull one back. We continued the push for an equaliser with Ajayi forcing the keeper to tip his effort onto the crossbar but it wasn’t enough as Eisa rounded the keeper and completed his hattrick. Moments later it was four as Jake Britnell capitalised on a miscommunication at the back to curl one in.
The combination of Gary Alexander’s passes and Mohamed Eisa’s pace were causing chaos for our defensive and it was the former who scored the away sides fifth goal following a corner. We seemed more determined now and after a quick forward burst we secured ourselves a penalty, which Alfie Dean slotted away into the top left corner.
The game balanced out until half time and we came out after the break seeming more confident and creative. It was Greenwich Borough that got the goal though, with Scott Kinch flicking on a longshot to make it 6-2. We continued looking strong and maybe could’ve pulled back another, but Gary Alexander’s second was enough to secure Greenwich the game and condemn us to a loss, despite our strong end to the game.
