Hello and a warm welcome to you all here at the Lair, the home of Lingfield FC.

Tomorrow we host Billingshurst FC, currently sitting 16th in the table on 16 points with games in hand over the teams around them. They come into this game on the back of two consecutive losses at home to Mile Oak and away to Langney Wanderers. Whilst Lingfield boast a superior record in the league with back to back wins against Mile Oak and Seaford of recent and 33 points clear of today’s opponents on 49. We are currently in 3rd place and 5 points clear of Wick who are the nearest promotion challengers, who are hosting Southwick. So both sides will be looking for maximum points. In the previous fixture, saw Billingshurst become 1 of only 4 teams to beat Lingfield in the league this year and win 2-1, also making that our last defeat this season; stopping us from going 10 wins in a row in all competitions at the time, therefore Lingfield will be looking to rectify that matter. After a welcomed return to Club Captain David Graves and leading goal scorer Richard Wetton last week, we lose Jamie Bakhit to what he feels like a well-deserved break.
Fact to note; Wetton has scored in every league game he has played apart from one!... Billingshurst Away, so he’ll be wanting to fire home his 31st goal of the season. Billingshurst will be looking to their top scorer Jordan Stallibrass for an inspired performance in their quest to become the first side to take maximum points from the Lair. They would have to upset the odds in doing so as they’ve only picked up 8 points from a possible 33 on the road. The Top 2 above Lingfield, Little Common are Away at Steyning and Langney Wanderers Away at Midhurst.

We hope you all enjoy the game.
